Thai Bistro was one of the first places I had ever eaten Thai food. It may even be The first. Whether it was first or not, when I eat Thai anywhere, it's being compared to Thai Bistro. This place is completely unassuming from the outside. It's located off Main St in a typical run down, small strip of shops in NPR. But when you walk in, the interior is made up of intricate woodwork and carvings. Glistening Thai fabrics are flowing here and there. It's nice. The ladies that work here are adorable. They've always been pleasant and attentive when I visit. Sometimes even stereotypically giggly with the affirming head nodding. They all wear an old style tradition clothes too which adds to the atmosphere. The food is great. I've had many different items now and couldn't possibly go over them all, but the one thing that I get every time, especially if my kid is with me, are the Thai donuts. They're excellent. To date, it's by far my favorite Thai dessert that I've had.

I stopped in because it said Thai and bistro in the sign. Good call. My chicken pad Thai lunch was 8.51. It came with a nice light soup made of chicken, broth jasmine rice and cilantro. And a salad with a variation of thousand island also accompanied the lunch. The chicken pad Thai was surprisingly not bad, I could taste the flavor of the tamarind and some peanut, the sauce was infusing, and the chicken was not bad. I can't believe that was 8.51. I wish there was a cheap Korean place nearby now.

Great staff and the place doesn't smell bad like many Thai restaurants. Very close to white sand Green Key beach. Thai tea was excellent and also enjoyed macrobiotic menu had the seaweed soup great if you have a sniffle. Had the green curry vegetarian dish wonderful coconut flavor not spicy.

delicious experience at Thai Bistros. We had the Two friends crunchy chicken and shrimp and the Soft Shell Crab on the Early bird menu. The food was really good and good service too.

Fabulous meal!!! Best Thai ever and super nice service. If I lived here I would be a regular. I love spicy and I ordered the Hot Basil Peppers entree. It was delicious!

Dirty dark yucky. I ordered then used the restroom, which hadn't been cleaned in years, peeked behind the counter into the kitchen and left. Sort of surprised about all the good reviews. There are some great Thai restaurants in this area, this isn't one.

Just and update - egg rolls still rock. Main dish seemed like the dish from last time and was lackluster. So my take, I will go for appetizer and dessert here!

I found out about this place from my gym. I tried it for dinner. I had Pad Thai chicken with Jasmine rice. It was excellent. Next time I will try the early bird duck as I heard it was awesome!!!!!!!

Ate lunch there yesterday. I was so disappointed. It's usually pretty good, but my meal was cold. I had the Pad Thai and it was way too sweet. The service was bad. Waited forever to get a refill on water. Had to ask for the rice that comes with the meal. Ordered the homemade coconut ice cream with banana wraps. The wraps were excellent, but it came with only four small slices of bananas wrapped in egg roll wrapper and deep fried. The ice cream could have used more coconut. I thought $4.50 was steep for that dessert. It's really too bad, because it's my husband's favorite restaurant. I'm hoping it was an off day.

Great place to take a business client to impress. I had the crispy duck salad and a business client had the pad thai. It was so good, and my client was very happy that I introduced him to the restaurant. The service staff is very friendly and accommodating. Prices are very affordable. When I want to close the deal, I take my prospective clients to Thai Bistro. Different and impressive.

Absolutely superb Thai restaurant from the delicious food, atmosphere, service and prices. Very authentic... even the waitresses are dressed in traditional costumes and are amazingly friendly. One of our favorite local places to eat and consistently good.

Every time I eat at Thai Bistro I feel transported to another world. Maybe it's the decor and place settings, or the beautiful little costumed waitresses who seem to wait around for me to even blink I need something before dashing to my table to take care of it. Maybe it's the delicious Panang Curry I can't seem to get enough of, or their scrumptious Thai iced tea. But put them all together and I am in heaven.

I've eaten at a few Thai establishments from the heart of New York City all the way to San Diego California. So I've experienced various taste in Thai food. This place is mediocre at best. I don't like to give 2 stars unless it's something really really bad. But let's just call this one a 2.5. I decided to do some quick take out because I was working in the area and I was disappointed. My noodles were close to red from ODD seasoning. The seasoning was was very flat and un-enjoyable. My dish was the chicken pad Thai. Bean sprouts were wilted, the peanuts I received were very mushy and not crunchy... It's almost like they sat in the Florida humidity for a week. Spring roll was the only promising thing. Chicken was also very very thin and I received no egg in my dish. My meal wasn't that cheap either. Total bill was 13.68. Which included pad Thai, white rice, and Thai tea which was the only thing that you can't mess up. Remember this was take out though so maybe dinning in was a different experience. There are definitely other areas that serve better Thai food so I recommend you check them out. As I find it rude to included them on another restaurants review; I will not list it. You can find it on my page though.

Thai Bistro is the best Thai restaurant I've ever visited. It might look a little sketchy from the parking lot (as much of downtown NPR does) but as soon as you walk through the door you enter an experience. It's beautifully decorated and the ladies that work there are so kind, polite, and helpful. They were always genuinely smiling which is refreshing. The food is outstanding! The peanut sauce is one of the best sauces I have ever eaten anywhere-period! I had the Amazing Eggplant which was lightly fried eggplant with the peanut sauce. My husband fell in love with the dish as well and he doesn't even like eggplant. The Thai Spring rolls were also very good. Make sure to ask for a box because you will have leftovers and will be very excited to eat them later! This is a hidden gem in NPR and I would recommend it to anyone looking for authentic food!

I get the double delight with EXTRA VEGETABLES about once a week. I would score 4.5 if I could but can't give it a 5. My wife and daughters get Pad Thai and other dishes and also give it a score of 4. my only complaint is the food is a little inconsistent and some of the chicken has that freezer burn taste. but that is more an exception than the rule. The ladies are very nice and attentive. Overall, we love the food and it's one of our favorite places to eat anywhere North of Clearwater.

My mom loves it here so she insisted on taking me even though I'm not a huge fan of Thai food. We went for lunch on a Friday afternoon & were warmly greeted and seated right away. They were painfully understaffed and it took 15 minutes for anyone to come to our table to take our drink orders. The food was very good-I ordered the Thai Combination Fried Rice & it came with soup and a salad. Very reasonable prices. Typical Thai place. I would go back.

Someone in a Washington State airport recommended this restaurant so my friend and I went. My friend lived in Thailand for a year and said the food in the Bistro was authentic. I thought the food was delicious and the wait staff very helpful and attentive. The prices are not out of bounds we ordered three different dishes and shared. My favorite was the crispy duck.

This is some of the best Thai food you will find. It's hard to believe I found this gem tucked away in a small plaza on Main Street NPR. Friendly service, too. You won't find many places this good to eat around here.

This unassuming little Thai spot is located in a strip center just off US 19 on Main Street in Port Richey. You might miss it if you drive by too fast but it is worth the stop. We arrived as a family of 4 with two children and almost everyone one went away satisfied. The service on our Tuesday evening arrival was courteous if slightly slow in the kitchen. We were kept well informed of our meal preparation progress however and never felt ignored or overly delayed. We started with the Calamari appetizer which was presented very nicely on a bed of iceburg lettuce. The Calamari itself was fried lightly if a little under done, and the breading was falling off the squid to the point that our kids did not want to eat the normally favorite pre-meal snack. I suppose this time the origins of it's protein were too "up front" to young eyes. There is a full children's menu on the back page of the main dinner menu and the selection should please any child who's parents drag them to strange and mystical restaurants from other lands. Speaking of strange and mystical, the decor and music within Thai Bistro had our 10 year old absolutely enthralled. The female servers authentic garb is also a nice touch. The adult meals were more hit than miss. My order of Pad Thai Seafood was very good, with a generous helping of clams, muscles, scallops, shrimp and other seafood. The noodles were cooked just right and the spice was just at a medium level (as I ordered it). A very satisfying dish priced at a bout $16.00 with plenty left over for the next days lunch. The Double Delight $ 9.95 "Shrimp and chicken sautéed with broccoli, sweet peppers, onions, green onions, carrots, mushrooms, water chestnuts, snow peas and baby corn in our brown chili garlic sauce." We found to be less successful, the chicken in the dish was cooked beyond recognition and there was absolutely no spice or flavor in the entire dish, which was ordered to be prepared with "Hot" Thai spice. We can only assume that the dish was just a singular failure because the rest of the tables dishes were all prepared very well. I was taken aback a bit by our server who only offered to bring a spice tray to try and correct this dish, when were plainly told him it was quite bland. Our entire meal for four including appetizer and 4ea hot tea @1.95 each refill came it at just over $62 before tip. Price conscious diners should attend.... Overall, we think this is a fine spot to stop at in Port Richey the atmosphere is quaint and the service very attentive. We will stop again!

This place is a gem. My husband and I tried it last night on a whim and wow... They exceeded our expectations by a mile. The appetizer sampler is delicious! Our favorites were the curry puff and the spring rolls. My husband had the pad Thai and said it was the best he'd ever tasted. I had the pad see-ew and it was also amazing. Their prices are beyond reasonable for the quality of their food. Service was outstanding as well. We will be adding them to our list of favorites!

Good but not blown away. Attentive Thai serve staff dressed in traditional Thai clothing. Ordered 4 dishes as a group; Americanized but still flavorful with wide variety of options and nicely presented with fresh orchids. Interior appointed with traditional Thai decor and pillows in the booths. Lot parking. Only open for dinner on Sundays.

My family is in NPR for a relaxing vacation. When my wife said she wanted Thai food for dinner one night, I wasn't overjoyed. I like Thai, but it's not a food I get excited for. Until now! This place is awesome. I ordered the roasted duck, a friend ordered the Sweet and Sour chicken, and my wife had curry chicken. My kids had the kids meal fried chicken. Each of us said it was our best Thai dinner, ever. Well, everyone except my children who did not eat much of their chicken, at all. Guess who wanted to go back four days later? Yes, it was I. We arrived for the early dinner special without the kids this time and ordered Crispy Duck. Just as wonderful as the first time. Very surprisingly, the waiter opened the menu up to the page where Roasted Duck was. Did he remember me from days ago? Wow! Impressive place. I highly recommend it. Oh, and get the fried ice cream for dessert. We had it both times and were equally pleased (including my two little ones).

What a excellent place for an reasonably priced meal, great service and fabulous food. There are quite a few Thai restaurants in the area now, but Thai Bistro really out shines them all. The Tom Kha Gai is perfect. Just the perfect combination coconut milk, lemon grass, chicken, mushrooms, onions and other specialty ingredients. It makes my mouth water just writing about it! Entree's portions are large, often we split one between the two of us...or plan on taking the other half home. We generally dine here a couple times a month, it is a great place to meet up with friends and have a glass of wine and a great meal. Service is always excellent. We really love Noy, she is one of the waitresses and always makes us feel welcome and provides excellent service.

Short and sweet ..hard to beat! Best Thai food anywhere..best and sweetest service we've had. The amazing eggplant, imperial duck and homemade peanut sauce...then the coconut ice cream was worth going back for after dinner the next night. We will make plans to eat here twice on our next visit...seriously!

Any and every time we are in New Port Richey, we make it a point to make a stop at Thai Bistro. The food is always well prepared and tasty, the staff courteous, and the atmosphere relaxing and tastefully Thai. From large parties to foursomes, the staff are always attentive and sweet and dressed in traditional garb to make the experience that much more authentic. The food is simply to die for an if you are a fan of spice, we highly recommend requesting the off-menu "Thai very hot" as a tongue burning fiesta. It's a sweat inducing, why don't I have enough water questioning, kind of hot, but makes everything so much better. Downside? They don't have a children's menu, so we normally have to order an adult plate and have the kids split it, which works for us, but for those with only one, it might not be as convenient.

Very good quality thai food and reasonably priced. Went for dinner and had Pad Thai, Chicken Red Curry which came with 2 servings of rice and soup all for under $20.

I went here with my sister during the holidays. She loves Thai food and this place did not disappoint. Highly recommended if you're in the NPR area.
